Her practice can be seen as a form of writing: words, images, objects, pauses, empty spaces and things left out of focus, all together, through their balance or simply for the fact that they are put one aside the other, they produce a meaning. She cherishes single words for their sculptural and synthetic qualities. She is infatuated by language due to its structures, for the articulation of the elements, their latent ambiguity, the potential and yet constant chances of misunderstanding. She treasures foreign languages because she can understand them, but only at a certain extent, also because when speaking in a foreign language one’s voice changes. To her the objects she makes are like the words in a vocabulary.
