Momu & No Es’ work operates as a sort of a chain of questions concatenating in a sculptural shape. The installation looks over a series of philosophical and art history concepts as the ‘Stoicism’ and the ‘Op art’ becoming ‘lifestyle’. On this narration Momu & No Es want to picture the nowadays coexistence and the
co-distance between questions that can become turning points of our
understanding of our surroundings or new cores of knowledge. Such concepts include, the binomial of Eugenics and Emotional respect, the Elite and the excess of humans, and the viral being, the chaos magic and the Darwinist power of the memes.
Momu & No Es, Lucía Moreno (Basel, 1982) and Eva Noguera (Torelló 1979), both graduated from the Painting Department of the Faculty of Fine Arts at University of Barcelona, later completed they MFA at DAI (The Dutch Art Institute) in The Netherlands and currently they are
enrolled in a PhD. Their work has been shown at solo exhibitions in galleries and art centers internationally.
